I am a doctoral researcher interested in the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum and modelling complex systems. I am fascinated by how short-lived local processes can translate into global interactions between vegetation and climate.
Currently, I am working on coupling dynamic vegetation models to the mesoscale hydrologic model (mHMExternal link). This project is part of an interdisciplinary collaboration at UFZ to develop the LandTrans Simulator. Our goal is to create a high-resolution land simulator that considers the multifunctionality of landscapes. With this simulator, we will be able to analyze and project the future of landscapes under global change.
